Performing random acts of kindness is one of the ways people who are committed to Jesus Christ can demonstrate God's love to people who haven't asked Jesus to be the leader of their life. A New Way to Do Church-the Birth of Pathways

Last December, the Northbrook congregation launched the Pathways Church in Maple Grove, MN. Attendance has been running in the mid-30's since opening day and over 20 percent of those in attendance were recently pre-Christian.

Pathways has a contemporary worship service that is fresh and relevant. They are in the process of growing a worship band and Pastor Steven frequently shows movie clips to illustrate his Bible-based teachings.

The friends and members of Pathways are also actively involved in servant evangelism and demonstrating random acts of kindness. In the past few weeks, they have sponsored a gas giveaway and bagged groceries in a local super-store. They also participate in community-based co-ed softball league on Sunday evenings.

Pathways is currently meeting in a Baptist Church near the intersection of Weaver Lake Road and Elm Creek Boulevard (behind the fire department), in Maple Grove. For more information, e-mail sshomler@pastors.com and talk with Pastor Steven.
