| Primary Areas
of Focus | Evangelism
Evangelism is simply helping people discover
Jesus and to rely on Him in a manner that results in a life-changing
transformation. We currently do this with: servant evangelism;
web-based ministry; campus ministry; church growth and church
planting.
Servant EvangelismIn Romans 2:4
God makes the following statement, "Don't you know God's
kindness is intended to lead you to change the direction you're
heading spiritually?"Servant Evangelism is simply demonstrating
Gods kindness to strangers in practical wayswith
no strings attached. When one of Jesus' friends provides free
service to a stranger it gives them a picture of the Trinity,
Its purposes, and Its ways they may not otherwise have.
Web-based MinistryWhile we don't
believe the web is capable of replacing personal interaction
between people who are intensely pursuing their spiritual
journey we do believe "virtual congregations" are
an important part of the next wave that will help connect
believers and seekers in the United States and abroad.
Campus MinistryCampus ministry
has short-term and long-term implications for Life's Answer®
because we believe future church planters and foreign missionaries
will come from young people who have a burning passion to
look to see where God is working and to join Him in His work
with their actions and words.
Throughout history God has used the energy and
vision of young people to do awesome things. The list is long:
David killed the giant when he was a boy; Mary became the
mother of Jesus when she was about 14; most of Jesus' disciples
were college age. Getting connected to Christthe ultimate
source of vision and energyis one of the things were
about.
Church Growth and Church Planting It's as natural
for a healthy congregation to grow and reproduce as it is
for a healthy couple to grow and reproduce. We live in a multinational
and multicultural society and there's an unlimited opportunity
to grow, and to begin new congregations of Christ followers
that meet the unique needs of different people groups. These
groups will be a mosaic of believers who look like the people
who live and work next door. |
